Metrosexual
it had occurred to me that there was something different (i wanted to use 'wrong', but then..=P) with today's generation (gosh! are we really getting that old??!)...because i remember a time when guys used to get annoyed when i playfully sprayed ladies' cologne on them..they even try to cover it up with alcohol just to get the scent off..but now, two of my younger male officemates even ask me for some...
worse was when i sprayed some on myself yesterday, another guy officemate caught a whiff of it and inquired about it. i proudly showed him my new favorite cologne and now he owns it (my own bottle!..he wouldn't return it!!)...i had to ask him for some sprays, if i wanted some...=(
i know he's not gay and i know my cologne has a sweet and girly scent, but why oh why??? and then a friend told me about metrosexuality. An article from the net said:
"There, deep in the hair-care aisle, carefully selecting the product du jour, or in the salon having his nails buffed to the perfect shine while checking out the latest fashion magazines -- it's not a bird, not a gay man, it's a metrosexual! "
"...defined as a straight, sensitive, well-educated, urban dweller who is in touch with his feminine side."
well, well, well...i have never been fully feminine myself (i am sure i haven't reached my full feminine potential, heheh, although i can be kikay...=P) and now guys' are already catching up and is being more feminine than me...■◇◆□
p.s. funny trivia: my cologne is called metro (by penshoppe), just right for the metrosexual! =D
